Ortho-Novum 7-7-7 (28) was prescribed to me as soon as it reached the markets. I have never had any side effects I am very healthy. The generic equivalent does not maintain the same proprietary "active" ingredients and did cause side effects, most notably increased melanin productio n in the first 30 days of use.
