The "hold" message comes up whenever an exam is under review because of a problem, either a palm scan that didn't take, speed of exam, or something truly obvious in your case, a power outage. Seems like the power outage would put all the exams taken in 'hold' status and that is the message you got, not a 'good pop up'.

Hey guys! I’m reading and researching about the VUE trick. I took my NCLEX today and had to take ALL 145 questions, so not feeling great about that. I waited for the email and tried a couple hours or so later and got the good pop up where I couldn’t reregister. Just trying to figure out how accurate this is. I only tried it once. I got the bad pop up! So I took my NCLEX today and finished at 77 questions. After the exam I did the trick and got the bad pop up. During the exam, I felt like I was getting easier questions and every time I would get a SATA question, I would then get a multiple choice question. I only had like about two in a row and then back to multiple choice. The only 2 comments I saw suggesting it happened was a "friend of a friend" type situation where the writer heard their friends friend had a good pop up and failed. Which they likely got the "neutral" pop up and thought it was a good pop up. In my experience I believed with all my heart I failed in 120 questions. Good pop up. I passed. My nursing program integrated ATI into every course we had and we also had to take the VATI to get our name released to the state. There have been some reports of getting a “bad pop-up” or “false result”. However, it is a fairly good indicator to what a student’s result actually is. In my experience, the trick worked for everyone from my nursing school who tried it.
