Shaw Electric Company is an electrical contracting firm operating in the metropolitan Detroit area since 1930. Between our main office in Livonia, and a branch in Ann Arbor, we manage work throughout the lower peninsula of Michigan. Shaw has been signatory to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, working agreement since 1931 and a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association since 1938. On January 1, 1998 we established a new subsidiary, Shaw Fire Detection Services, to manage our growing presence in the fire alarm installation market. In 1999 Shaw Electric Company became the ninth contractor in the nation to achieve ISO 9001 registration. Our business outlook is long term.
