About
Mary Cronin, Ann Arbor
How does someone with a couple of degrees in biology end up as a graphic designer? Scientists are visual people. During the process of discovery they observe the shape, color, texture, organization, and structure of everything from the micro to the macular in the natural world. I didn't realize that connection until I got to where I am now. After graduating with a BS in biology from Bowling Green State University in Ohio I worked for several years in the biological sciences: identifying mosquitoes for a mosquito abatement district in Toledo, Ohio (I was the "Mosquito Lady" on the radio), working for the Department of Oral Biology at The University of Michigan, becoming a research assistant in the Department of Physiology at the University of Michigan, and working as a research assistant/electronmicrocroscopist in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan.
