In 1979, when Armstrong Robitaille was founded, insurance agents prided themselves on finding low rates and being available when a customer called. Frank Robitaille and Fred Armstrong, however, had a vision that clients deserved more. They felt small and medium sized companies needed a business partner providing reliable service and real, cost-effective risk management solutions. They started small but, as they grew, they added safety and loss control staff, claims professionals, and underwriting experts – just like the big national brokers. The expected result was tremendous growth and client loyalty. The unexpected result was that many larger businesses appreciated all the services they could get from a national broker and the personalized attention that only Armstrong/Robitaille could provide.
